How to play Blitzkrieg 3?

Blitzkrieg 3 is a WW2 RTS game that requires strategic thinking, tactical planning and quick decision making. Depending on your preference, you can choose to play either the single-player campaign or the multiplayer mode.

The single-player campaign

The single-player campaign of Blitzkrieg 3 consists of three campaigns, each representing one of the main factions of World War II: the Axis, the Allies and the USSR. Each campaign has its own storyline, missions, objectives and challenges. The campaigns are:

The Axis campaign

The Axis campaign follows the German war machine as it invades and conquers Europe and North Africa. You will command the Wehrmacht and the Afrika Korps, led by famous generals such as Erwin Rommel, Heinz Guderian and Erich von Manstein. You will face the resistance of the Polish, French, British and Soviet armies, as well as the partisan movements in Yugoslavia and Greece. You will also witness the rise and fall of the Third Reich, from the Blitzkrieg to the Battle of Berlin.

The Allies campaign

The Allies campaign follows the Allied forces as they fight back against the Axis aggression and liberate the occupied territories. You will command the British, American and French armies, led by renowned commanders such as Bernard Montgomery, Dwight Eisenhower and Charles de Gaulle. You will participate in the epic battles of Dunkirk, El Alamein, D-Day, Market Garden and Bastogne. You will also experience the hardships and sacrifices of the Allied soldiers, from the Battle of Britain to the Battle of the Bulge.

The USSR campaign

The USSR campaign follows the Soviet Red Army as it defends its homeland and pushes back the Nazi invaders. You will command the Soviet troops, led by legendary marshals such as Georgy Zhukov, Konstantin Rokossovsky and Ivan Konev. You will engage in the brutal battles of Moscow, Stalingrad, Kursk, Leningrad and Sevastopol. You will also witness the heroism and resilience of the Soviet people, from the Siege of Leningrad to the Storming of Reichstag.

The multiplayer mode

The multiplayer mode of Blitzkrieg 3 allows you to play with Neural Network AI, friends and other players online. You can choose from two modes: Skirmish and Assault.

The skirmish mode

The skirmish mode is a classic RTS mode where you can play 1x1, 2x2 or 3x3 matches against other players or AI opponents. You can choose from different maps, settings and factions. The objective is to destroy all enemy units and buildings or capture all strategic points on the map. You can also customize your army composition, tactics and commander abilities.

The assault mode

The assault mode is a unique RTS mode where one player attacks and the other defends their fortifications. The attacker has a limited time to break through the defender's defenses and capture their headquarters. The defender has to use their resources wisely to build and upgrade their fortifications and repel the attacker's assaults. The mode is asynchronous, meaning that you can attack or defend at any time without waiting for your opponent to be online. What makes Blitzkrieg 3 unique?

Blitzkrieg 3 is a WW2 RTS game that stands out from other RTS games for two main reasons: its Neural Network AI named Boris and its historical accuracy and authenticity.

The Neural Network AI named Boris

One of the most innovative and challenging features of Blitzkrieg 3 is its Neural Network AI named Boris. Boris is not a scripted or predefined AI, but a self-learning and adaptive AI that plays at the top player's level while not using any hidden information about the enemy. Boris regularly analyzes the gaming session and makes Neural Network-based predictions of the enemy behavior. This approach allows him to think up sophisticated counter-strategies and bring them to life, making him tough and unpredictable.

How does Boris work?

Boris works by using a combination of machine learning, deep learning and reinforcement learning techniques. He learns from his own experience, from the feedback of other players, and from the data collected by Nival. He also uses a neural network to generate and evaluate possible actions and outcomes. He can adjust his difficulty level, his army composition, his tactics and his commander abilities according to the situation and the opponent. He can also learn from his mistakes and improve over time.

How to challenge Boris?

If you want to challenge Boris, you can do so in two ways: by playing against him in Skirmish mode or by attacking his fortifications in Assault mode. In Skirmish mode, you can choose the map, the settings and the faction for both you and Boris. You can also set the difficulty level of Boris, from Easy to Impossible. In Assault mode, you can choose one of Boris's fortifications to attack, which are randomly generated based on his neural network. You can also see how other players have fared against Boris and compare your results with theirs.

The historical accuracy and authenticity of the game

Another aspect that makes Blitzkrieg 3 unique is its historical accuracy and authenticity. The game recreates the performance characteristics, tactics and appearance of real combat units and commanders from World War II. The game also features legendary battles such as Stalingrad, D-Day and El Alamein.

The historical missions and battles

The single-player campaign of Blitzkrieg 3 covers the main period of World War II, from the invasion of Poland in 1939 to the capture of Berlin in 1945. Each campaign has its own storyline, missions, objectives and challenges that are based on real historical events and scenarios. T
